Let us take the situation where a cask has been requested for sampling and for whatever reason we wish to cancel that request.
Deleting a sample in the sample queue is essentially the same whether it is for a private cask or a distillery cask. The only difference being that there may be a queued invoice for a private cask.
Firstly go to the sample queue
And identify the queued sample we wish to delete
Here is is SREF 66
IF there are any invoices queued there will be a number – YOU MUST delete these sub records before you can delete the sample.
Reveal the sub transaction and select and delete as in the following picture.
The red icon should now read 0 again
We can now select the actual 66 record and delete the sample
Be careful selecting what you delete as it is possible to delete multiple samples at a time. After hitting the delete button you will get a warning message which gives you another option to cancel. Once that is hit the sample will be deleted from all sample lists.
